Two Stage Offset Gearbox for Rail Application

This 2 Stage Offset Gearbox is designed for the specific purpose of tightening and un-tightening bolts which secure a train bogie to the base structure of the train.
Access to these bolts is restricted at one end of the train by the Drive Shaft.

Previously this job was carried out using hand torque wrenches which was not only difficult but gave rise to a number of safety issues.

Features include:

• Capable of tightening 30mm across flats hexagon bolts up to 600 Nm
• Integral reaction which reacts against off an opposing bolt head
• Quick release plunger for disconnecting the C-RAD Pneumatic Torque Tool safely from the Offset Gearbox
