Pressure Vessel Reaction & Socket

This special reaction and socket is designed specifically for activiating the brass  hand wheel on a pressure vessel within a drinks manufacturing factory.

The 4 post 'socket' fits over the brass wheel and braces against the spokes/forks of the wheel in order to rotate it clockwise/anti-clockwise for opening and closing of the pressure vessel. 

The Post Reaction counteracts against the tightening/un-tightening action of the wheel by reacting elsewhere on the pressure valve. 

As the opening/closing of the valve is difficult to carry out by hand, requiring a lot of manual effort, a BC-RADX battery powered torque tool capable of 950 Nm is used in conjuction with the special socket and reaction. This gives an easier and safer alternative to operating the vessel by hand.
