An electrically (battery) operated scissor lift with the following features and capabilities:

• Lift loads of up to 1000 Kgs from a closed height of 0.6 M to an extended height of 1.6 M
• Power assisted drive via a pair of pneumatic drive wheels
• The unit can be manoeuvred in any direction manually when the 'drive wheels' are retracted
• Control Pendant for drive wheel deployment/retraction and 'elevator' up/down control
• Drive button and Off/Direction selector on handlebars/column
• Integral charging unit
• Descent rate adjuster (according to load)
• Audible/visual warning lamp when the elevator is being raised/lowered
