Special Reaction Platform

This system is for tightening/untightening a bolt which is part of a nuclear waste storage vessel. The profile of the storage vessel is curved, meaning it is difficult to get a secure and safe reaction with the torque tool.

The solution is to use a specially designed 'reaction platform' with the torque tool. This reaction platform  has a profile which exactly matches the contour of the storage vessel. This provides a secure and safe reaction against the wall of the storage vessel.

The complete system consists of  a hydraulic torque tool, reaction platform, power pack, and trolley.
